My research focuses on how the immune system can be used to fight cancer. I am investigating the interactions between melanoma cells and immune cells within the skin and their role in either promoting or inhibiting cancer progression.

I am excited to be a mentor for the Regional Girls Innovation Challenge and assist young creative minds to explore new ideas and delve into the world of scientific research.  I was inspired to pursue a career in medical research when I was at secondary school and I hope that I can provide support and motivation to young girls who are considering embarking on the research pathway.
