In 2016, WiSPP collaborated with our five partner institutes to develop an agreed set of metrics. After collecting baseline data from each institute, the data confirmed that women are still underrepresented at senior levels in the Parkville medical research institutes (MRIs).

WiSPP works at a number of levels to better understand and address this issue.  

Our programs, events and change initiatives are aimed at the individual, institute, precinct and system levels to both increase the retention of women in their science careers and lift the number of women in senior leadership and decision making positions.
