Promote Systems Reform
Since WiSPP’s inception in 2014, much of our work has targeted the individual and institute levels.
However, it has been identified that in order for this work to be optimised and to make transformational change, system reform is required.
The five institutes working together provide an influential and legitimate convening authority. The institutes assist in engaging key people and other institutions on how we can consider new actions and policies that will have an impact in building and enabling an equitable environment for women in science.
A Proposal for growth
WiSPP developed a proposal in order to make a bigger impact and influence change beyond Parkville Precinct. In this proposal, WiSPP envisions a vibrant Victorian health and medical research sector which fully recognizes and utilizes women, creating equal opportunity for their advancement.
