The need for systems reform
Since WiSPP’s inception in 2104 much work has commenced and is ongoing at the individual and institute level in particular.
But it has been identified that for this work to be optimised AND to make the transformational change necessary, system reform is required.
In 2018 WiSPP is planning a activities to bring together key thinkers - in and out of the system - inviting them to “break the system” and innovate how we might design effective systems reform.
We believe that the five institutes working together provide an influential and legitimate convening authority to assist in initiating a process to engage key people and other institutions to deeply reflect on how we can consider new actions and policies that will have an impact in building and enabling an equitable environment for women in science
