Promote Systems Reform
Since WiSPP’s inception in 2014, much of our work has targeted the individual and institute levels.
However, it has been identified that in order for the work of WiSPP to be optimised and to make crucial change, system reform is required.
With the five WiSPP medical research institutes working together as an influential and legitimate convening authority, key people and other institutions can be engaged to consider new actions and policies that will have an impact in building and enabling an equitable environment for women in science.
Victorian Centre for Gender Equity: A Proposal for growth
WiSPP developed a proposal in order to make a larger impact and influence change beyond Parkville Precinct. In this proposal, WiSPP envisions a vibrant Victorian health and medical research sector which fully recognises and utilises women, creating equal opportunity for their advancement.
