I have a laboratory embedded within the Inflammation Division at WEHI, where my team studies the genetics and biochemistry of cell death-induced inflammation.

WiSPP is important to me because far too many stellar women scientists leave research or have their careers stymied through a patriarchal scientific system. This both hinders scientific discovery and propagates gender inequality in society. Ultimately, I hope the work of WiSPP will create a more equal scientific playing field and help the next generation of women to pursue a career in STEM, make important discoveries and become scientific leaders.
